This month of August we are
celebrating the “The National Language Month” also known as “Buwan ng Wika”. In
our school theme is “Wikang katutubo: tungo sa isang bansang Filipino”. In this
event we are about to show our national language. We are also showing our
iconic Filipino culture and etc.
There are 130 languages all around
the Philippines but there are only 8 major languages and these are: tagalog,
bisaya o Cebuano, pangasinense, waray, Bicolano, Hiligaynon, and Kapampangan. Our
languages will identify us and also it reflects our social and culture
realities that our country undergoes.
Recognizing this month as “Buwan ng Wika”,
also means appreciating the numerous culture and other groups. And also within
this event we are about to give applause to our ancestors who created or build
our nation. And I am
very proud that I am a filipino.
