Filipinos have coped with the vicissitudes of life.

This month indicates
the "Filipino Values Month", which is all about being unified or
centralized. In this event it includes volunteerism, Helping one another,
Loyalty, Loss of face and prestige, Debt of gratitude, Comradeship, Helpful,
Philanthropic. These are some of the array of Filipino values for which the
Filipino people are known worldwide. It is a lot like solidarity but in this
event it tackles about our ourselves or the moral lesson we've got.

One value that has
not been emphasized in our people’s education is “Isang dugo”, “one blood”, “one
race”, referring to our common origin in the past. This is one beautiful and
endearing value that we must teach our children to help preserve the unity of
our nation. We observe the month of November as Filipino Values Month. Let us
celebrate Filipino Values every day of the year. This will help us keep
ourselves together as one people of one blood.
