    In today's world we are inundated with images of Christmas from the media. We are told that it is all about buying expensive gifts for each other. In today's challenging economic times it is a tragedy that parents spend way more than they can afford to try to please their children. The sad truth is that, "money can't buy you love". A holiday is about the time spent together with loved ones. It is about gifts that come from the heart, and it is the about the thousands of years of tradition that mark the holiday season.

    Chirstmas is a very important holiday to us because it is like the main event or holiday of this year, and it is also being about with your family which is also the main source where christmas stared. Family is the greatest asset a person could ever have. Learn to share with them all the joys and blessings that we have. Celebrate Christmas with them!

    People start greeting each other from few days before the festival by saying Happy Christmas, Merry Christmas, Subh krisamas, krismas Mubarak, etc through Christmas cards or gift distribution. Decorating Christmas Trees in the houses or garden is the special custom and tradition of Christmas celebration. People also decorate their homes and Churches with candle and electric bulbs. Christian people in Southern India lit some small oil burning clay lamps on roofs to symbolize that Jesus is the light of whole world. They sing a special song known as carol song and perform other rituals in the church. At some places, there is a traditional to cut fruit Christmas cake to actually celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Santa comes in the mid night with lots of attractive gifts to distribute among kids.

            In this 2^nd quarter I have learned a lot about many tags, such as basic html tags, html head tags, html text alignment tags, html text formatting tags, and etc. And because of these things that were taught by our beloved teacher we have gained yet another much helpful things to our mind.

          In every quarter it has a difficulty level, but this quarter was a little bit easier than the 1^st quarter, but I did have some mistakes too, all of us make mistakes.

      It was difficult but with cooperation or teamwork I have managed to survive, we indeed have help each other just like a so called "family".

     Moving on, I will stick to faith which will lead me my own way to go through challanges so that I will be seeking enough knowledge for myself and being able to share it to others.

This month of October we are celebrating “World Teacher’s Day” but some of us do not appreciate this event, but let me clarify some stuffs.

Our national hero “Dr. Jose Rizal” once said “Ang kabataan ay ang pag-asa ng ating bayan.” In english “Youth is the hope of our country” but who are capable of helping my fellow youth to succeed?, Their parents but can they teach their sons or daughters properly while there are doing their jobs?. Teachers are capable of teaching my fellow youth, They are about to take risk to make some successful persons in the near future. Blood, sweat, and tears are taken because they are working very hard just to teach their students.

But most importantly, Teachers are supposed to teach with pure love and care for their students. We need to celebrate this event so that we are also giving respect and love to our teachers. We need to payback them also because they are worthy holding their title as our “2^nd Parent”. We really indeed love our beloved teachers.

Intramurals or sports competition is essential to the well-known for the students and teachers. Sports is not all about winning or losing, it is all about learning and how to interact with other people and how to mold them to have a desirable character traits that are vital in achieving success in the future.

Within these event, the students or athletes will compete with each other to prove that they are well-trained or they could have their own title. They spent days, weeks, or months to develop theirselves.

In this month we are celebrating the “National Science Day”. It is being celebrated every year to widely spread a message about the Importance of science used in the daily life of the people. To display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare. It also refers to the inventions that were made by people.

A lot of activities that are implemented in our school because it is the Science Club Month Celebration. From the very first day of the month, the students of Ilocos Sur National High School opens the month with flying of balloons. What a big event. It must really a big day to all. They all announced the activities such as Photo Envy, Essay and Poem Making Contest, Poster and Slogan making, Pet Show, Science Quiz and many other more.

"Happy School Movement" is a project of the DepEd, which is a movement that seeks to promote every in our region as a better and much more enjoyable place to study. It has become an eye-opener to everyone because of this they are take cared and also being loved much more than before. Some researchers confirmed that a happy school could decrease the absenteeism and suspensions and also bullying which is really helpful.

Within this movement the students can voice-out or to really express themselves as well as upgrading their selves to learn. The "HSM" also concludes some events to promote the movement such as booths, etc. They are telling that the teachers are about to give a whole new life to their students.

 In Vigan we celebrate "World Heritage Cities Solidarity Day" on September 8. In Vigan this special day is actually commemorated with week-long festivities aimed at strengthening pride in the history and culture of Vigan. Visitors can start their Vigan heritage solidarity festivities with the Repazzo de Vigan. This is a parade that is participated in by all 39 barangays, specially the students and members of non-governmental organizations. The participants dramatize the Biguenos’ way of life from Spanish time up to the period after World War II while they walk through the designated parade route, accompanied by music

In December 1999, Vigan City was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List of Sites and Monuments as the city, which was established in the 16th century, is the “best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia.             This month of August we are celebrating the “The National Language Month” also known as “Buwan ng Wika”. In our school theme is “Wikang katutubo: tungo sa isang bansang Filipino”. In this event we are about to show our national language. We are also showing our iconic Filipino culture and etc.

            There are 130 languages all around the Philippines but there are only 8 major languages and these are: tagalog, bisaya o Cebuano, pangasinense, waray, Bicolano, Hiligaynon, and Kapampangan. Our languages will identify us and also it reflects our social and culture realities that our country undergoes.

             Recognizing this month as “Buwan ng Wika”, also means appreciating the numerous culture and other groups. And also within this event we are about to give applause to our ancestors who created or build our nation. And I am very proud that I am a filipino.

         In my opinion, I have discovered a whole new world for me. I have discovered to really express myself through with blogging. And because of this I am learning to because the more you write the better you become at it. And because of this thing called “blogging” I can make a great way to give support and awareness.           “Kumain ng Wasto at Maging Aktibo, Push Natin to” that is our nutrition month theme this school year 2019. We should accept the fact that the mentioned theme is what we need in life. Everybody loves to eat food, some of us can eat all-day, but do we eat healthy foods?

          Eating healthy foods can give us a huge amount of energy to use, so that we can maintain a healthy lifestyle. If we eat all-day it isn’t normal even if it’s healthy because eating too much can cause us laziness. And eating unhealthy foods like junk foods, can cause many things to our healthy lifestyle, and because of that it might lead to a certain disease such as obesity, heart disease, overweight, diabetes and many more.

          But with the help of the event or the nutrition month, it helps us to take courage to have a proper lifestyle.

          We must improve our healthy eating habits so that such disease would not spread to our precious lifestyle. “What you eat is, what you get”, that is a saying that what you consume is what you will have. Your body needs an improvement so that we will always be tough.

          We should be developing this as our daily dose in life. Eating is not a bad habit but it has a limitation.

          Earthquake drills and exercise are an extremely important part of your preparedness. It is to understand the impact of earthquake experience and education on awareness. Results showed that earthquake experience is not the prime factor to enhance awareness.

         

          In short, it is to develop and enhance our skills at an upcoming disaster. This is to evaluate an earthquake response and evacuation exercise.

         

          Some people says that earthquake drills is just a waste of time but it will help us a lot. An earthquake will appear at any time, so we need to prepare ourselves at all times.

          Earthquake drills are very important for us. It could give some instructions to use and that there will be a chance for surviving. For making this drill successful me need to cooperate to everyone.

A good day to you sir, I am writing to let you know how much we could appreciate the outstanding outcomes you’ve done. We greatly appreciate your efficiency in providing what you’ve did. You’ve surprise us in many ways like, when you were just a candidate for the presidency you startled us with your saying “I hate drugs”, but when you started to order the police officers to track down drug users and innocent people were involved but the negative side didn’t make an effect on you Mr. President. A day to be cherished

Independence is all about being able to express ourselves without being interrupted by someone or something. June 12 the day known as “Araw ng Kalayaan” or the “Independence Day”, a holiday for us Filipino citizens. The day that our ancestors sacrifice themselves to declare our freedom successfully.

In my opinion, we are not totally free yet because someday, somewhere we will might be colonized from the other countries. But the independence day is very important for us, it is the day we can celebrate on our own. And if the independence day wasn’t declared we would be tired all-day because of working.

We should thank our Filipino ancestors for the sacrifices they did. We should always celebrate independence day on each upcoming generation.
